Who Gets Bone Cancer?

Primary bone cancers make up a very small percentage of all cancers. According to the American Cancer Society, there were approximately 2400 new cases of bone and joint cancer in 2008. About 60% of those diagnosed with bone cancer will die.

Osteosarcoma and Ewing’s sarcoma usually occur in children and adolescents. Chondrosarcoma occurs more often in adults.
